Who we are

Eda Demirci

Eda was born in Zonguldak,Turkey in 1992. For her junior year in high school she attended a student exchange program and studied at Chippewa Valley high school in Michigan, USA. She is currently studying English Language Teaching at Yeditepe University,Istanbul and working for Yeditepe University Writing Center as a student tutor.

Ezgi Özel

Ezgi is an undergraduate ELT student at Yeditepe University, Istanbul . She is voluntarily working for Yeditepe University Writing Center as a student tutor. She is also taking courses in Spanish, and working at conferences like IATEFL, and APLANET to assist conference organizers.

Ceren Cessur

Ceren is an undergraduate student at English Language Teaching department. She studied American Culture and Literature at Hacettepe University before starting her education here. Because of her curiosity, she enjoys studying and learning about both English and teaching techniques. In order to gain some valuable experience, she has started working for the Writing Center as a Student Tutor. Along with ELT, she is also interested in literature and cultural studies. She is learning French and Esperanto. 

Seçil Uygungil

Seçil was born in Kirikkale in 1991 and grew up in Burdur, Turkey. She is a student at Translation and Interpreting Studies at Yeditepe University as a full scholarship student. Due to her interest in Elt studies, she is working at Yeditepe University Writing Center as a student tutor. She is also learning Russian.

Deniz Aryay

Deniz is a double major student in ELT and Guidance & Psychological Counselling programs at Yeditepe University. She had been studying architecture before she dropped out for the sake of interaction with people, rather than computers. She genuinely enjoys being a part of both departments and the student tutor program offered by the Writing Center. She is interested in psychology and TESOL for adults.

Orhun Gündüz

Orhun is an undergraduate translation and interpreting student. He studies Political Science and International Relations as double major. He is interested in ELT studies and he is working at Yeditepe University Writing Center as a student tutor. He is learning Spanish and German. He is also interested in gender studies, public speaking and linguistics. He enjoys literature and movies.

İrem Yetişen

Irem was born in 1994, in Hatay. She is currently a first-year student in the English Language Teaching Department at Yeditepe University. She studied Genetics and Bioengineering for a year before she dropped out to pursue her dream of being a part of a Language Program. She hopes to double major in ELT and Psychology in her sophomore year. She has started working voluntarily for the Writing Center of Yeditepe University as a student tutor in order to gain experience.

Meltem Özgül

Meltem was born in 1992. She graduated from Mustafa Kemal Anatolian Teacher Training Highschool in 2010. After 1 year in preparatory school, she started to study ELT in Yeditepe University. Currently, she works in Yeditepe University Writing Center as a student tutor and also in an English course as a teacher.
